As part of its ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainable development, Win Win Precision Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as WIN) recently launched a targeted humanitarian initiative in collaboration with "Step30 International Ministries." Over a two-week period, WIN mobilized its workforce to collect and repurpose high-quality footwear and summer clothing for residents in remote regions of East Africa. Following a rigorous process of sorting and packing to meet international distribution standards, employees personally delivered four crates of apparel and one crate of footwear to the Bethlehem Warehouse, ensuring these essential resources were ready for their journey to those in need.
The Step30 project addresses a critical health crisis in East Africa, where inadequate sanitation and economic barriers make shoes a vital necessity rather than a luxury. Without adequate footwear, residents are highly susceptible to jigger (sand flea) infestations, which can lead to severe infections and long-term health complications. Since its founding in Taiwan in 2014, Step30 has expanded from a grassroots shoe drive into a comprehensive international aid model—incorporating school construction, clean water initiatives, and agricultural development. With over 3 million beneficiaries to date, the program has become a landmark case in Taiwan for international ESG impact and humanitarian excellence.
This initiative was sparked by a shared sentiment among employees to give a second life to quality goods, which WIN’s leadership transformed into a structured logistics operation. Through this participation, the team gained a profound understanding of the complex "circular" lifecycle of donated goods, including the meticulous stages of sanitation, classification, and global distribution. By bridging the gap between idle resources and global needs, WIN not only reinforces the spirit of sustainability and the circular economy but also cultivates a deeper sense of global citizenship within its corporate culture, addressing the real-world disparities that exist in our global community.
