Sustainable Organization

Our company actively pursues sustainable development alongside its business operations to align with international development trends. By fulfilling corporate citizenship, we enhance the domestic economic contributions, improve the quality of life for employees, communities, and society, and promote a competitive advantage rooted in sustainable development. In addition to striving for sustainable operations and profitability, our company emphasizes environmental, social, and corporate governance factors, integrating them into our management policies and operational activities. (For details, please refer to: Corporate Management Philosophy).

The company has established a Sustainable Development Group, chaired by the CEO, with the vice presidents of the two business groups and the vice president of the Finance Center as vice presidents, the vice president of the Energy Sustainability Operation Center as the chief executive officer, the vice president of the General Management Center as the deputy chief executive officer, and the head of the Sustainability Law Office as the head of the law office; and the functional groups of Environmental Sustainability, Social and Human Rights Promotion, Corporate Governance, and Green Products are set up respectively, which will be adjusted or increased or decreased depending on future needs.

The chairperson and vice chairperson of the sustainable development team jointly confirm the Company's sustainable development strategies, action plans, and agree on the management approach, and conduct regular supervision. The Chief Executive Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer are responsible for unifying short-, medium- and long-term goals; planning and promoting environmental (E), social and human rights actions (S), corporate governance (G), and green products (P)-related issues, as well as communicating and coordinating sustainability issues with the Development and Promotion Team. Each functional promotion team consists of the Company's supervisors and colleagues in charge of the Company’s operating departments and is responsible for collecting information on environmental (E), social and human rights (S), corporate governance (G), and green products (P)-related issues from domestic and overseas, customers, markets, and the government. Based on the information collected, management policies, short-, medium-, and long-term goals, and action plans are formulated, which are submitted to the Sustainable Development Team for implementation by respective promotion groups.

Promotion Status

Every year, the Company's Sustainable Development Team assesses the possibility of risk occurrence and the impact on the Company on environment (E), social and human rights initiatives (S), corporate governance (G), and green products (P)- related issues, and then determines the potential impact of risks on the Company. Based on the assessment, relevant risk response strategies are formulated which are submitted to the risk management team and then to the Risk Management Committee and the Board of Directors. (For details, see: Risk Management Implementation - Website).

In addition to reporting to the Board of Directors at the end of the year, the Chief Executive Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Sustainable Development Team also report the implementation status and resource requirements to the chairman and the Board of Directors from time to time to promote sustainable development. This facilitates the monitoring of the progress while providing the necessary resources.

The Company's Board of Directors listens to reports (including the ESG report) from the management team on an annual basis and occasionally throughout the year. Management is required to propose corporate strategies to the Board of Directors, who assess the success probability of these strategies. The Board of Directors must also constantly review the progress of strategies and urge the management team to make adjustments as necessary.

Inventory of GHG Emissions

Climate change is a global challenge. Since the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference, governments have been urged to establish carbon reduction timelines and proactive pathways. In response to international trends, Taiwan has amended the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Act into the Climate Change Act, embedding the 2050 net-zero emissions target into law.

Given this, Win Win Precision has classified GHG emissions generated by the Hsinchu Headquarters, Xinfeng Plant, and Xinfeng Plant 2 into Category 1 (direct emission sources) and Category 2 (energy indirect emission sources) to better understand their GHG emissions in order to develop improvement measures.

Greenhouse gas emissions analysis

Note 1: The Company's GHG emissions are calculated mainly based on the "emission coefficient method", and the calculation method is explained below; the GWP value announced in Table 7.SM.7 of the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report in 2021 is also quoted. The quantification formula for calculating GHG emissions is as follows:
CO2 equivalent = activity data (amount) x emission coefficient x GWP value
Note 2: Emission factors quoted: Environmental Protection Administration, Executive Yuan, "GHG Emission Factor Management Table," version 6.0.4
Note 3: The electricity coefficient is based on the carbon emission coefficient of 0.509 kg CO2e/kWh announced by the Bureau of Energy in 2021.

  • GHG management strategy: For the bulk of GHG emissions, indirect energy (Scope 2) is the primary target, followed by waste reduction, emission reduction, and electrification development.
  • GHG management approach: For energy, we first introduced the Energy Management System and ISO 50001 to identify and monitor the bulk of the Company's internal electricity consumption to ensure the verification of subsequent improvements. Energy saving (air conditioning, air pressure, lighting, manufacturing adjustments) and green electricity import (transfer) are used as the main methods.
  • GHG emission reduction target: Reduce overall GHG emissions by 10% by the end of 2025 and by 20% by the end of 2030 (based on 2022).
