In order to protect our hard-earned technological achievements, we implement a system on patent management which integrates our operational objectives with R&D resources, and is committed in establishing a management model that creates corporate value through intellectual property rights. This initiative not only strengthens competitive advantages but also brings sustainable opportunities to our sustainable future.

To maintain the Company’s competitive advantages in technology, manufacturing excellence, and foster customer trust, the Company has published “Confidential Document Management Rules” and related measures. Information is classified according to its level of confidentiality, and access rights are restricted accordingly.

Each level of information is subject to corresponding protective measures. Physical documents are clearly marked as confidential, employee’s access to these documents is regulated according to the corresponding confidential level. Electronic information is protected through individual account and password measures, firewall-protected computer networks, and restrictions on the use of external computers and portable storage devices.

All employees are required to sign confidentiality agreements. Confidentiality and trade secret related policies and protective measures are incorporated into new employee training sessions.

The Company’s patent management program covers portfolio strategy, offensive deployment, and patent inventory review, supported by structured evaluation, incentives, and talent development to safeguard R&D outcomes and maintain technological leadership.

Internally, employee patent filings are encouraged through innovation incentives and the Patent Application Management Guidelines, with a tiered review process to ensure both quality and quantity. Externally, the Company engages with leading international partners and monitors competitors’ patent activities to mitigate risk and strengthen its intellectual property portfolio.

Brand sustainability is a core element of the Company’s long-term development. To ensure effective trademark management, the Company engages professional firms to handle domestic and international trademark matters, enabling timely monitoring of global trademark filings, proper use across jurisdictions, and prompt enforcement actions when necessary.

  • Systematic Trademark Strategy : In line with the Company’s business development objectives, We undertakes systematic trademark registration and portfolio planning to ensure appropriate and comprehensive trademark protection.
  • Trademark Disclosure : When registered trademarks are published or used externally, the Company displays relevant registration notices to indicate registered trademark status and to deter unauthorized use or infringement.
  • Global Trademark Monitoring : The Company employs global trademark monitoring mechanisms to identify and prevent potential imitation, counterfeiting, or other infringing activities by third parties.
  • Trademark Portfolio Review : We regularly reviews the use and commercial value of its trademarks and may discontinue or streamline trademarks that no longer provide meaningful economic or strategic value, in order to optimize resource allocation.

Status of Intellectual Property Management Implementation

The Company reported the implementation status of intellectual property management to the 3rd meeting of the 9th Board of Directors on November 11, 2025.

New employees are required to execute confidentiality agreements, and confidentiality policies and trade secret regulations are incorporated into employee training to enhance awareness and legal compliance. Contractual arrangements and periodic training clearly define intellectual property ownership and confidentiality obligations. In addition to protecting its own trade secrets, the Company has established policies to safeguard third-party trade secrets, prohibiting the use of external confidential information in the course of employment and requiring compliance with existing confidentiality obligations. Background checks are conducted for certain positions prior to onboarding to prevent improper disclosure. In 2024, a total of 421 employee participations in trade secret protection training were completed.

As of the end of 2024, the Company had accumulated more than 51 granted patents worldwide, including 14 foreign patents (covering China, the United States, Germany, and Japan) and 37 patents granted in Taiwan.

As of the end of 2024, WINAICO, the solar brand under the Company’s renewable energy business group, had registered trademarks in 44 countries and major markets worldwide, including 26 EU member states (such as Germany, the United Kingdom, and Nordic countries), Oceania (New Zealand and Australia), North America, and Asia (including China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam). In line with the evolution of the Company’s solutions-oriented business model, the Company continues to expand its trademark registrations for products and services globally.
