EPD is based on the ISO 14025 standard, which requires that businesses quantify and reduce the environmental impact of products or services throughout the entire lifecycle by following the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment), as well as it also requires a third-party verification and transparently discloses a product’s environmental performance data.
WINAICO is pleased to announce that it is currently the only Taiwanese solar module company certified by EPD, which represents a commitment to sustainability, especially significant for European customers who are concerned much more than other regions. This achievement confirms that WINAICO’s NGXB-D3 and NGX-D3 series modules satisfy the EPD standard in the areas of climate change (CO₂ and greenhouse gas emissions), acidification, energy and natural resource consumption, acidification, and waste management.
